Agent Scully is asked by a friend from the academy to join in the investigation of a case occurring in the Baltimore, Maryland, area. Three brutal murders, in which the victims' livers were extracted, have occurred with no evident point of entry possible. Agent Mulder, seeking to assist Scully, reviews the scene and discovers evidence which indicates that this case is actually an X-File originating in 1933.

1X20 Tooms

Due to psychological treatment and evaluation, Eugene Victor Tooms is released from incarceration, less than a year after being sentenced for attacking Agent Scully. Mulder vows to keep the uncharged murderer from making his final killing and entering hibernation for the next thirty years. Unfortunately for Mulder, Tooms has a personal vendetta against him which he wants to settle first.

Utilizing the alleged psychic abilities of serial murderer, Luther Lee Boggs, Agent Scully and Mulder attempt to locate a pair of kidnapped teenagers. Boggs, claiming to be able to see into the mind of the kidnapper, leads Mulder and Scully through a series of ambiguous clues that only Scully believes. Can Scully make a deal with the death-row convict and find the teenagers before their time runs out?

Curious about reports of UFO sightings over Reagan, Tennessee, Agents Mulder and Scully converge on the site to investigate. Mulder soon suspects that the government has been transporting extraterrestrial biological entities across the country, explaining the UFO presence in the area. Deep Throat intervenes with conflicting stories to attempt to throw Agents Mulder and Scully off the track.
