Believing the culprit to be a simple fetishist, Fox prepares to allow local law enforcement to handle the situation. Unfortunately, the fetishist is no longer willing to wait for his victims' deaths and begins attacking the living. Can Scully and Mulder stop him?

Things are not nearly as easy as they seem, however, as Samantha requests Mulder's help in protecting her adoptive family from a mysterious assassin.

Forced too cooperate with the murderous bounty hunter to ensure Scully's safety, Agent Mulder agrees to exchange Samantha for his partner. Unfortunately, things do not occur as planned and the assassin is able to escape unharmed with his mission completed. Mulder makes contact with Mr. X, to attempt to locate the criminal. Can Fox find the Bounty Hunter before he escapes?

An earthquake in New Mexico, unearths a buried government boxcar containing alarming "merchandise". A computer hacker, known as the Thinker, breaks into government records and steals the original UFO intelligence files. Are these events related?
