PHOTOSHOP:
The above work is for a new pharmaceutical product from Berlex. The
drug is intended for use by women, and Berlex wanted a feminine look to the piece. I incorporated the look and feel of water in Photoshop by using the airbrush on a solid background to create waves. In addition, I chose the cyan and seafoam colors to give the piece a light and peacful look. The stock photo to the right was carefully chosen, made a duotone and blended into the background with masks. I spent much time on the text. Keeping in mind that the work would be displayed on a large projection screen, I wanted the text to pop from the background. The "Break Free" text was manually beveled using channels along with a plastic wrap filter. I then created a white copy of "Break Free", distorted the perspective and applied a Motion Blur downward. For the glints on the "Make a Difference" text, I used an artistic brush in Photoshop. Finally, I applied a subtle lens flare to the background to accentuate the light direction from the upper left-hand corner. |
