The teens fight at the Nurses Ball
Scene Opens

(Emily goes outside and sees Nikolas standing there alone.)

Nikolas: Hey!

Emily: Hey, how are you?

Nikolas: I'm fine.

Emily: Good. You just--you look kinda lonely, and I--I'll see you inside.{She turns to go inside}

Nikolas: No, wait, wait. Don't go. You look very pretty tonight.

Emily: Oh, thank you. I was backstage, and I heard your witness statement. You did a good job.

Nikolas: Thanks, so did you--both times you sang.

Emily: Oh, thanks. The witness statement was different though, it was more important.

Nikolas: Robin asked me to do it.

Emily: I thought she did.

Nikolas: Let me ask you something--have you ever felt like--like you were connected to someone, and if you just had the chance, you could be important to that person?

Emily: Yes.

Nikolas: Yeah? What'd you do about it?

Emily: Nothing. I mean, I did something, but I don't think the person knows about it.

Nikolas: Did it accomplish anything?

Emily: I'm not sure.

Nikolas: Well, maybe the best thing to do is just take your chances, and tell that person exactly how you feel.

Emily: That sounds risky to me.

Nikolas:Yeah it is. But sometimes the only way to get what you want is to take a risk.

Emily: Nikolas, there's something I've wanted to tell you for a long time now. Ever since you and I met, I--

(Lucky and Lizzie come outside)

Lucky: Hey you guys.

Nikolas: Hey. Hey Liz, I really enjoyed your singing tonight. It's too bad that Sarah couldn't be here to see it.

Liz: Oh please!

Nikolas: Exuse me?

Liz: You know, it was bad enough you dumped Sarah before you found out Robin already had a boyfriend, but to pretend you care about her, is borderline offensive.

Emily: He was just being polite Liz.

Liz: Oh, right, like he was to my sister. 'I'll dump you for no reason, but at least I always said thank you.

Emily: Well, maybe if the two Webber girls hadn't thrown themselves on every guy in the city, Nikolas would have realized he didn't want to date your sister in the first place.

Lucky: Back off, Emily! You're starting to sound like your friend here--a spoiled, stuck-up rich kid.

Nikolas: Now, wait a minute. I don't care what your girlfriend has been through Lucky, that doesn't give you the right to insult Emily.

Lucky: What the HELL did you just say?!!

(Lucky goes at Nikolas. Nikolas is going at Lucky. Both of the girls are yelling at them to stop. Then, Mr. Fine, a.k.a. Jason Morgan comes out like a knight in shining armour and grabs Lucky and holds him back.)

Nikolas: Get off me, off!!!

Jason: This is not the place Lucky. (To Emily) You ok?

Emily: Yeah.

Nikolas: If you'll excuse me, Emily and I were about to go inside. {To Lucky} You have a good evening." {He leaves and Emily slowly follows}

Lucky: That guy is unbelieveable.

Jason: You wanna fight him, you do it some place else.
( Jason leaves)

Lucky: Hey, you ready to get out of here?

Liz: I don't wanna go through the ballroom.

Lucky: I know the way to the quickest exits. Come on.

(Lucky holds out his hand to Liz and she takes it willingly. Then they run off.
