Another Homecoming

Salvador enjoyed his time in Montaigne, but was ready to get back to his old stomping grounds. Salvador procures a few paintings and other memorabilia to decorate his new abode. He took his leave of the Coutness and his other new friends and began his travels back to Vodacce. Only a minor stop in Castille to go before getting home...
It's good to be back in the familiar setting. He spends the first day greeting his old professors and telling them of his new job. Some of them are proud of him, some think he's just bragging and that he really needs to show more humility. One in particular Salvador invites to dinner. Professor Mendoza meets Salvador for dinner. Not a well known or famous professor, but one that Salvador had made good friends with. Salvador imparts all of the news of his times away and shares his slight insecurities at actually becoming viscount. Prof. Mendoza listens well and reassures Salvador that he will do marvelously. He is very proud that his student and friend has advanced in the world to this stage and sees big things ahead for him. Salvador invites the Prof to visit whenever he can.
Salvador takes a day or two to visit the old stomping grounds. He orders a desk made in the style of the professors desks at the university to be shipped to his new home. It will be several weeks in arriving, but that is fine. There is no rush. He does some additional shopping in the market for additional paintings and decorations. He even acquires a set of chairs with the university logo carved into the backs for his study. He begs and borrows and buys several books for his library and sets off down the river to home.
Or what will soon be home...
