If daylight turns to nightlights,
where does God plug in the light?
Does his energy bill cause him headaches?
Throughout the month does he fret
over overly large power consumption?
Will the sun go out if he can’t pay?
And if the power does one day go out,
will he have the money to pay the restart charge?
Or will he just start over with a new company?
What does this mean for the rest of us,
all of us poor souls stuck under his regulated prices?
Will he deregulate our souls pricing guidelines?
Or will our lives always be run by
government regulatory prices that God can’t seem to shake?
Since only taxes and death are inevitable, even the Holy Ghost
seems to quake when the IRS calls...
