Okay, this episode simply ROCKED!! I LOVED IT!!! Could you have a more shippy moment at the end? (Well, yeah, you could, but it was still great!) Okay, let me try and do this in some sort of order. The first bit was so cool! Our fav red-head agent was in kick-ass Scully mode!! Go machetes!!! But, damn, is that girl brave! If there were locusts all over my tent, I wouldn't be within two miles of it, but she just marches on inside, trying to turn off the lamp (then, of course, she gets attacked, and starts screaming her head off, which, I must say, would have been my reaction when I saw the first one (I hyperventilate around bugs). And the disappearing man? Very cool. I watched this with my little brother, and we both were saying at the opening credits: Bible plague! Plague of locusts!
After the credits (why didn't they change the tag-line?): I think the scientist, Amina Ngebe, is really cool. She seems like she could be a big help in later episodes. Okay, having all those things written on the craft (human genetics, the Bible, the Koran) was cool. I wonder how they're going to explain that one. The return of Dr. Barnes: that guy is such a freak. And after the sea of blood, my brother and I were practically yelling at Scully for not making the connection to the Bible plagues. Then my bro said: "Need I point out that Mulder is the first born?" So, that will be interesting to keep an eye on. The return of Michael Kritschgau was interesting, if unexpected. I think it's good that Skinner is helping Mulder out and taking responsability for his actions. It was really cool when Mulder did the test and he was ahead of the spaceship images. The thing with Barnes making his little speech was annoying, but he was nuts, so I guess that makes up for it. Having Scully hit him with the chair was so funny! Kick-ass Scully mode all the way! Then the return of the vanishing man was really freaky. "Not all truths are for you" etc. That was freaky. The Barnes killing his driver thing was nice and disgusting, and then his driver coming back to life? AHHH!!!! was my response. That was gross. Having the Fowl-one professing her love to Mulder: yuck! Get that woman away from him!! But then Scully arrives to urge him to hold on. It was so shippy!! (Happy person over here). Notice: Fowl-one says "I know what you have and I won't let you die," and yet she's doing nothing, while Scully's saying, "Hold on Mulder," and she was trying her hardest to help him. And Fowl-one needed to voice her love; Scully did not. It was understood between them.
Okay, now that I've got the shippy stuff done, I must address the questions raised by the preview. What was up with Mulder and Fowl-one? Mulder had better be hallucinting or something! And the "I am your father" line? EEEEE!!!!! What was that about? I think there are going to be some very interesting things in this Sunday's episode. Well, that's all for this week, I guess. See you here next week!
