7X10 Sein Und Zeit

Now this is what I was waiting for!!!! Finally, something worthy of the X-Files! Okay, there were faults, and it is a cliff-hanger, which is why it gets a four instead of a five, but it was sooo much better than what we've been having for a while. I am pleased, and will be going crazy waiting for next week.

Now, the logical analysis. Amber Lynn is the most adorable little kid, but her bedroom was a little too pink. When the dad goes in and sees her dead, then not? Was she still in there? Or was he totally seeing things? That was confusing. And what about the blood under the door? There should have been blood other places, but there wasn't. Was that also a hallucination?

Now, what time did Mulder show up at FBI HQ during Skinner's meeting? It looked either really early or really late, because the halls were deserted and it seemed to have a dark, quiet quality to the filming. So why was Mulder there? How did he know when to show up? Strange. Then Mulder heads on out to California. It's funny how the press mobs him, then he gets mistaken for the press, and gets to wave his badge around. And later when he gets interviewed by the press. I wonder if the writers were making a comment on the profession? Then his lovely, dark little motel room. Scully shows up! Yay! Random: what have they done to her hair? It looked like shit in this episode sometimes, particularly in the shot where she enters Mulder's room. Okay, so Mulder's mom wants to talk. I wonder what we'll find out next week? When Scully and Mulder go to the FBI briefing, it's really funny how they walk in late, and leave early. Not very business like! Mulder getting chewed out by Skinner was amusing. Mulder so needed it, but then the news of his mom? NO!! He's supposed to have at least one parent left! But then again, now he has no one but Scully. Maybe they'll become...closer *G*. Poor Teena, she looked so sad, but why did she burn the pictures of Samantha? That's a little weird. Then, when Mulder asks Scully to perform the autopsy, I thought it was interesting how she didn't want to have to perform an autopsy on the mother of someone she knows. Then, at Mulder's apartment, it was so sad to see Mulder sitting there trying to make sense of his mother's last words. And when Scully tells him what she's found and he breaks down crying? Kleenex! It was so sad, but so cute, how they held each other. And then Scully spent the night...naw, nothing happened, Mulder was in shock and all.

Loved it how Scully was like, "Make that three" to Skinner when he left her out! What was he thinking? Of course Scully would come along. Then, kudos to Scully for making the intuitive, clever leap to understand the meaning of "74", sending them to the suspect. My brother liked how Skinner was playing backup, checking doorways, at the Village. The chase and gun firing were cool, now, hopefully, questions will be answered next Sunday. Questions: Is Samantha's body in that field?(probably not) What was Teena trying to tell Mulder? What can the suspect tell us (is there a video of Samantha in his collection)? What can the mothers tell us? What happened to Samantha? And much more. Over all, a terrific episode.
