Okay, all you 007 fans, didja notice? Huh? The Amazing Maleeni is none other than Henry Gupta, evil sidekick of media mogul Elliot Carver!
Okay, back to the show. An okay one overall. The twist-and-pop CGI for the head turning was kinda cool. The whole plot was so twisted that I got very confused. Now I must see if I got it right. Maleeni's brother, who works at (didja notice?) the Craddock Marine Bank(Mon-day!) dies of a heart attack. His brother takes the body and waits a month before using it in his show, meanwhile impersonating his brother, saying he's been in a car accident. He loses big at poker, so decides he and his protege will stage this little play that will bring in the FBI so he can get a fingerprint and a badge number to stage a huge virtual bank robbery. So he 'turns' his head around (still no word on how he did THAT) then has his brother's head fall off (he sawed it earlier). The FBI shows up. When they come to see Maleeni's 'brother' he performs a card trick, thereby getting the fingerprint. When our fave FBI agents go to visit his apprentice, their badges are taken and the badge number is stolen. So now they have both things they need...why not commit the crime and get out? Why do all the other stuff? I have two views. One, they want to throw the FBI off a little. Two, Maleeni's apprentice wants to get back at the guy from prision who harrassed him. If the second is true, they were idiots to let petty things like that to get in the way of their ultimate goal.
Anyway, a convoluted plot that had its interesting twists and turns.
