I recently managed to actually get to the less than crowded theatre to see this movie. Being a science fiction fan, my psyche would settle for nothing less.

Now, on one note, the critics were right. It wasn't the best of the movies.

However, in my personal opinion, most critics are paid to review movies as stand-alone films and on an intellectual level.

It was a fun movie. And, when you actually do take it for what it is, the first episode of a saga filling at least six episodes, it does manage to fit into the general universe of Star Wars. There was a lot that did need to get set up in this one.

Otherwise, the next two movies would leave one alone and confused, with no idea what's going on aside from the offhand references made in the latter three movies.

I just can't wait to see exactly what Lucas has prepared in the next two movies.
