Longboats

Longboats travel 12 miles per hour. They come from the open sea into the Fjord and can travel to Svarberg via the River Bjorn. From about mid November till spring the Fjord is frozen over and travel up the River Bjorn or down to the open sea is by skis only.

Vinter Solig

Vinter Solig is on the mouth of the Fjord. It populace is 1800 people. Center of trade with Danes, Swedes, Norse, Normans and Arabs . Home of the King and Queen. Laws are governed by a war council and a council of peers. The councils meet in Vinter Solig. Each village is headed by a Stallari who is responsible for the law being carried out. There is the Kings Guard commanded by Valgorgeria, which is responsible for defense of the kingdom. Varangian Guard, which is composed of elite warriors who handle not only defense but the enforcement of the laws where needed. Tusk Pere Solig is their commander. Norman Knights are here to train with the Varangians. They are also the Queens personal guard when called upon. They are here as part of the alliance with Baron Michel (Myco) DuBussy of Normandy.

Svarberg

Six hours by horse or three hours by longship up the River Bjorn from Vinter Solig. Populace is 700. The area is known for its craftsmen and farming.

Isberg

Six hours from Svarberg by horse. The river is not passable beyond Svarberg by longship. However, seal boats can traverse down the river from Isberg in three hours to Svarberg. Populace 250 mostly hunters and nomads. Most are of Sami decendants.

Enchanted Ash Forest
The area Northwest corner of the Nordic Region where myths and legends exist. Forbidden land sacred to those of Isberg. No known inhabitants.

Occupied Southern Bjornvald
Major village is Thorgard with a populace of about 400. The village is overseen by various garrison commanders.
