It is mentioned in practically every ghost story book in print, right there with the Borley Rectory and the Brown Lady. There are very few other incidents in the realm of the paranormal that were focused on such a small place over such an extended period of time with such grotesque regularity. <br><br> Why does this story, set in a graveyard on a tiny island almost 200 years ago, hold such a morbid fascination for us today?
