Zander Cannon once wrote that, as a person working alone on a creative project, he just is never quite sure if people get what he is doing. This site is meant to give him reason to stop thinking too much about whether or not he is doing it wrong, and concentrate on matters more pressing, such as creating a book that he knows he would enjoy as a reader. Hopefully, he knows that there are those that care; those that hope he never stops producing his comic. That there are those that are selfish enough to make a web-site about his comic so that he would feel more of a need to finish the next book.
But more to the point, I'm doing this site for me! I want to express to the world that I am completely absorbed when I read about Knute and Anne and their fantastic tales! I want the world to know that when I see a new issue of The Replacement God it sends shivers down my spine. And yet, this is not enough for me. I also want the world to experiance this wonderful book along with me! To know that I have done my part to educate people in the 'mainstream' as to what good comics literature actually is! I must, nay, I demand to find others like me! Those that would cast away the corpse of a super-hero filled industry and concentrate on keeping those that deserve to live, to live on! That is not to say that super-hero comics are entirely bad. I used to get quite a few of them, quite a few indeed. However, I digress. I would like you, swell people, to explore this site. Learn as much as you can about the comic book I am presenting to you this day. Smile as your funny-bone is tickled. Pretend that imaginary characters are speaking with you. Suspend your disbelief. And, most of all, know this: the Replacement God is not an anti-religion tract, NO! Nor is it a pamphlet designed to coerce you into accepting any brand of worship. O mais non! The Replacement God is: high adventure and low humor. It is quests, swordfights, revenge, gods, creatures, intrigue, and completely selfish heroism!!! And thats why I love it.

Zander has assured me that the book just went to the printers and that January is the time to look forward to! Zander is sorry that it took this long to get out, but, he adds, he thinks this is the best issue he has ever done.
