"...have you ever heard of Luciferianism? I'm going to tell you what I've gathered thus far: Luciferianism is supposedly based upon three things; 1) The lore surrounding Lucifer the Roman god of enlightenment and 2) the indisputible fact that christianity is little more than a revision of the religions of Sumer, Egypt and the classical paganism of Greece and Rome and the under currents of mysticism and sorcery that lie beneath Christiandom's belly (see The Templar Revelation and Holy Blood and The Holy Grail for a better idea of what I'm getting at) 3) certain passages of the Bible which give Lucifer/Satan/whatever you want to call him a mysterious if not romantic persona. Luciferianism draws a strange lot; I've never seen Pagans, Satanists, and Christians showing interest (and often times agreeing on) the same philosophies, but they do when Lucifer's lore pops up. To my knowledge, no one has done any serious writing on the subject; this is most likely due to the lack of an organized structure focusing on Luciferian thought. This brings a few problems: Is there any Lucifer lore from the days of Rome in text too study? Given the fact that Luciferianism does not view Lucifer as beeing the fallen angel of the bible, yet does draw the Roman lore and Mystic undercurrents of Christianity, is Luciferianism a Satanic philosophy or Pagan philosophy or. . . Christian? I know this may seem a little beyond the beyond, but I just think it's a very interesting topic."
Editor's Note: I think so, too. The "Light-Bearer" is a complex character who cuts across many cultures and thousands of years, resonating with everything from Prometheus to the Byronic Anti-hero. Anyone care to respond to Vakeir's questions?
