Princes of the Universe theme song

Funny thing is - I don't like any other songs by Queen or even that general type of music (screaming guitars, etc), but the power of emotional linkage is such that
every time I hear "HEEEEEERE WE ARE! BOOORN TO BE KINGS! WE'RE THE PRIN-CES OF THE UUUNIVE-E-ERSE" it brings such warmth to my heart that I wouldn't see it replaced for anything. Of course, for the series, it's a moot point because it's over. But for the Raven - well, I hadn't thought about it, but I bet they do change the opening sequence. Not only are the lyrics of Princes of the Universe not really representative of the ideas behind the show (or even of immortality in general, as you pointed out), but I think they are going to be going for a different feel with Amanda's show. I think with Duncan's series they started out with it in order to make a clear connection to the movies, and stuck with it because there would have been rebellion in the streets (or Forum, whatever) if they had tried to change it. I have to admit that when Duncan says to Horton "Nobody's trying to dominate you" it makes me think of the lyrics, but well, I love it anyway.

Peace,
