You will find a number of ship control sheets (SCS's) attached to the thumbnails below. Most of these sheets were created by me. Some are the work of others. All of these sheets have two things in common. First, each and every one of the ships below actually appeared (no matter how briefly) on the show. My goal is to have a SCS for every ship seen in the show at some point. In this way I hope to create a interesting game with out going away from the actual source material. Second each ship works within the points system found on my C&C page. In this way I hope to avoid creating any overly powerful ships, and thus maintain game balance. Many of the ship control sheets I have seen on the web, appear to be too powerful, both in game terms and based on what was seen on screen.
Earth Force, Narn/Centauri,
Minbari/Rangers,
League of Non-Aligned Words
Civilains, Raiders, Shadows, Vorlons
That stats for Babylon 5 were created by Jerry Han for Full Thrust and then converted to TBP/EFSB and turned into a SCS by Aaron Newman. AOG has release a Mini for B5, or you can use the micro machine. However, the best model that would be in scale to AOG capital ships would be the Revell plastic model kit.
AOG produced an excellent mini of the Warlock Advanced Destroyer in January of 2001. I was able to receive an advance copy before Christmas of 2000. Aaron Newman created this SCS.
You can use the Earth Force One Micro Machine to give your raiders a terrorist target like no other.
There are some great scratch built Shadow Omegas out on the web. Also AOG produced the Shadow Omega it their fleet action scale. This sheet also contains a reworked Olympus Corvette, to match the one seen in the B5 movie In The Beginning and matching the miniature from Agents of Gaming. This version replaces the beam weapon with missiles to give it more Earth/Minbari war era feel.
This is a control sheet for the Narn Ja'Stat station, like the one destroyed by the Shadows in the first season. Until AOG makes a mini, your best bet is to kit bash the station out of two and half T'Loth kits. Look for photos of my kit bashed station in the future.
Want to have dog fighting transports just like in the episode And Now For a Word? Well, this sheet and some Micro Machines will let you.
Add to the above this Centuari Luxury Transport. Once again I use a Micro Machine for this ship.
This sheet contains the Minbari Tinashi war frigate seen in The War Without End. It also contains my take on the White Star (I know everybody has one)
AOG has released a mini for the Brakiri Avoiki Cruiser. The same ships hull was used in season five as a "helpless" transport destroyed by Centauri cruisers. So here using the same hull are the Brakiri Avoiki Cruiser and transport.
This sheet contains the Drazi Sunhawk and the Drazi Strikehawk. The Warbird uses the optional missile rules. The Strikehawk sports a single heavy fighter.
This ship is the smaller Drazi Sunhawk as seen in the first season. AOG has released miniatures for all three Drazi ships in 1999.
Vree ships are small, however; they pack a pretty good punch at close to medium range. They also turn on a 1/10th credit. AOG released the Xill Saucer mini in Febuary of 2000. The Xorr (the one with the cannon turrets) was released in April of 2000.
The Ipsha War Sphere was seen in the first season episode "Death Walker". AOG closed it's dorrs before it could produce this miniature, so you will have to use a counter for this ship or scratch build a mini.. This complete the League of Non-Aligned words war ships seen in original series.
AoG released the Civilian Tanker in 2000. Use the the Green Ship Micro Machine for the Personal Transport. These two ships and the other transports on this page give you any number of tempting raider targets.
And the latest in a series of transports, I bring you the Marie Celeste. I think this covers the last of the civilian ship Micro Machines that were made.
Speaking of Raiders, how about these from the first season. Agents of gaming has released a miniature for the Raider Carrier in November of 1999.
And yet another Raider, this time the Raider Battle Wagon from the B5 Third Space movie. Agents of gaming has released a miniature for it in November of 1999.
This the ship you think of when you talk about Shadow ships. The Shadow Cruiser sport a bam capacitor of 19 points and three forward facing beam batteries. This will allow you to fire 18 dice at a single target or sweep across three targets with up to six dice per target. This ship also features a vortex collapser and one fighter group. AOG released the Shadow Cruiser/Carrier mini in March of 2000.
The shadow Carrier gives up a little beam energy and the vortex collapser to make room for four fighter groups. The special rules allow this ship to launch all fighters in a single turn as a fighter bomb. Under my points system this is the most expensive Shadow ship to date. AOG released the Shadow Cruiser/Carrier mini in March of 2000.
The Shadow Scout is the least powerful Shadow ship. The Shadow Scout/Destroyer mini was released in April of 2000.
The Shadow Destroyer is slightly larger and more powerful then the Scout. It should be able handle a Light Cruiser of the younger races.
The Vorlon Heavy Cruiser is a nasty piece of work. Also on this control sheet is the Vorlan Transport. AOG released the Vorlon Scout/Transport and Vorlon Fighters in March of 2000. The Heavy Cruiser was release in April/May of the same year..
The Vorlon Scout is built on the same hull as the Transport. This ship has a few more offensive weapons then the Transport. AOG released the Vorlon Scout/Transport in March of 2000.
The Vorlon Destroyer is a little larger and better armed then the Scout. It should be able handle a Light Cruiser of the younger races. AOG released the Destroyer mini at the same time as the Heavy Cruiser.
AOG has release the Vorlon Planet Killer in their Fleet Action Scale. As fleet ship it has almost no practical value. However it is useful as a tactical objective. It has minimal defenses, so it would require a fleet to protect it while it gets in position to waste a planet.
With the demise of AOG and Micro Machines as a source of ship models, this will most likely be all the ship control sheets I ever produce. Please feel free to use these as you wish in your games. Please let me know if they are of use to you.
