Welcome to my newest project.

Stargate Fleet Command

Welcome to Stargate Fleet Command. The goal of this game is to allow players to model ship to ship combat in the Stargate Universe. This is only possible due to the inclusion of space based conflict in the last three seasons of the show. Because only now are there enough ship types in the original show to even attempt to game small fleet unit combat in the vacuum of space. This is important, for the simple reason, in that I will not just add ships to a game that have not already been seen on screen. I realize this greatly limits me in terms of game design. But I have found the many games that have added ships outside the source material, no longer have the look and feel of the original source. So why bother saying you are playing in a certain universe, when you in fact are just making almost everything up yourself.

That being said what you have now is a work in progress.  I now have up the most recent  payable draft of the rules system and ship control sheets. Sufficient I hope to fully test play my rules system. The only pending changes at this point should be a couple more ships, a few more images and some more back ground color text.

The rules system has a detailed fighter model. Because at the current time, we have not seen the massive number of fighters that are shown in a show like Babylon 5. Therefore having simple ship control sheets for each fighter, should not present too much of an accounting crises to the players.  The capital ship model is slightly different. So what you have is two games that are interrelated. Please check back often and see how far I have gotten.

The current revision is 0.3.02 This is a fully playable version of the game.  Yahoo Geocities lost me and my site after screwing up the change from Pacbell to Bellsouth as a result of my recent move. Thanks to  one of my readers, this should be the most recent version of the rules restored for your gaming pleasure.

For this revision the rules have been published as a PDF file in order to save space on my website. This is how all future revisions will be published.  Images and color text were added as the rules reach the first official published version (which was 1.0.00). The complete rules also contain the ship control sheets for all the ships in the game and a ships systems index. In addition a new section has been added for the ships of Stargate Atlantis.

In addition to the ship control sheets found in the rules, some ship mini's or counters would be helpful. So until someone releases some mini's (it's in the works, some minis' are already available at http://www3.telus.net/armourytoys/ ), the rule book also contains several sheets of ship counters. Print these sheets so they fill a full page.
