OTHER PERSONALITIES
There are several other important and well known beings that inhabit the land of Faerun.
The evil tyrant known as LORD SOTH rules his Kingdom from the city of Eltruel in the Western Heartlands. Upon his arrival a scant few years past he unseated the good Lord Dhelt and took control of the entire region known as the Fields of the Dead. He is rumoured to be a cursed warrior transported to this land from another time and place.
The Wizards ELMINSTER and MORDENKAINEN are known as two of the most powerful men to walk the land, although their motives and alliances are sometime questionable. Elminster is a sometimes resident of the Dalelands while Mordenkainen has no known homestead.
The RED WIZARDS of THAY are a mysterious coven of spell-casters bent on gaining power and causing destruction, though they seem to operate mostly in the shadows...
SNIG the AXE bills himself as the King of the Goblins when in reality he is no more than a petty warlord who has gained posession of a magical weapon. His followers have numbered at any time from a mere dozen goblins and hobgoblins to as many as a thousand....It is wise to not simply dismiss him. Snig draws most of his forces from the Savage North.
URTHOK is a hobgoblin Warlord and Snig's chief rival for power over the goblinoid races. If he and Snig were to ever combine forces, the earth itself would tremble before their combined might! Most of Urthok's power-base is in the Savage North.
ULMO LIGHTBRINGER is one of the greatest monks to have ever lived. He is a strong force for justice wherever he may be found! Ulmo is literally a wandering Monk, travelling from town to town spreading his good deeds.
MINA, as she is simply known, is a fiendishly evil cleric. Her followers are many, and much death, despair, and sorrow always follows in her wake. Mina seems to have no known centre for her operations but she has been heard of operating in the Western Heartlands, Cormyr, Sembia, and the Vast.
KING SNURRE is the leader of the giants...he himself is a fire giant but he has effectively dominated all other giant races so that they are now under his thumb. If they were ever to become organized they would be a serious threat to the rest of the land...King Snurre rules his troops in the Savage North.
ALUSAIR OBARSKYR is one of the great military leaders of the land, often involved in whatever skirmishes are happening nearby. Alusair is a resident of the Dalelands but she goes where she is needed.
LARETH, "the Beautiful" is an agent of the gods of Chaos. Wherever he is found War, Plague, Death, and Famine are not far behind! Lareth can be found wherever he is LEAST needed or wanted.
The heroes REDGAR, EBERK, LIDDA, RASK, ARAMIL, MIALEE, IALDABOLD, RAGNARA, EMBER, TORDEK, JOZAN, DEVIS, KRUSK, NEBBIN, and KERWYN are probably the best known adventurers in all of Faerun. Many a legendary story has been written about them and most other adventurers hope to follow in their path to glory! It is unknown who of them comprise the current party, only that REDGAR remains their leader. These brave adventurers travel the length and breadth of Faerun.
