SS GUARDIAN - the flagship of the Maquis Alliance

Maquis Division of the AQSG

The ship:

Welcome aboard the SS Guardian, a private heavy deterrence cruiser under
the property and command of the starfleet reserve commodore Thomas Andrews. The
ship under the spotlights at the dock shows the beauty and elegance of all
Excelsior class vessels, that for over 80 years have served the UFP very well
and are still today the vessel existing in larger numbers, though being phased
away slowly from front line duty, but yet, a traditional flagship. Still,
despite coming from a design with almost a century of age, the SS Guardian is
one of the most modern vessels in existence.
The Guardian was built using a engineering section of a ship lost at
Wolf 359 and the saucer section of the decomitioned USS Repulse. The new ship
has received enhanced type X phaser arrays, four quantum torpedo tubes plus
two burst fire photon tubes, and a turret with quantum and photon torpedo tubes.
The shields have been upgrated and a back up shield installed combined with a
new high power integrity field. The maneuvering vanes were enlarged and new warp
nacelles with bussard ram scoops added. A finnal touch was a larger shuttle bay
three runabouts and a verteron dispender.
The Guardian will make undecover missions for the Maquis while seeming just
a civilian ship.
