Synopsis

Dawson and Pacey are walking to school when Pacey mentions how nervous he is about seeing Andie again, explaining how he and Joey plan to go and surprise Andie by picking her up a day early from the psychiactric institute. After that Dawson mentions Eve's last disappeaing act and how he hasn't seen her at all, pacey comments on how unfortunate that is considering the fact that Eve is the perfect transtition woman. "A gift from the gods of rebound high. A curvaceous vixen, who is meant for you to be explored in only a sexual manner". Pacey keeps elaborating this point as they walk into the main hallway and we see a hand reach out from a closet and grap Dawson, while Pacey continues his conversation unknowingly while Eve and Dawson begin to make out.
After some serious pashing action Eve admits that shes a senior at Capeside leaving Dawson fumbling in the closet as she takes off. He finally manages to collect himself and walks out of the closet only to be accosted by his father and the new principle explaining that they need his help in creating a video for the upcoming pep rally this week.

Mr McPhee and Jack are discussing housing arrangements now that Andie is returning home. Mr Mcphee suggests that it might be better if Andie stays at Gram's house as well. Jack thinks that it's because since he came out his father dosn't even want to live in the same house as him and asks him to leave.
Meanwhile at the hospital Pacey is arguing with the nurse about the fact that he has missed visiting hours and therefore can't get Andie's ok to leave without actually seeing her. Defeated Pacey heads outside to tell Joey the bad news, she listens and than comes up with a plan to get Andie out. She than heads into the front office and demands to see a doctor immediately, when the nurse refuses Joey climbs up onto the desk and starts spouting all her problems to the nurse. As the nurse listens Joey waves Pacey on and he creeps past the nurse and into the hospital.

Dawson is sitting in the principles office while his father and Mr Green convince him to make a montage of all the football teams past minutemen from old footage of all the games. Dawson argues that he dosn't think that making a video tape of football players losing horribly is going to increase the school's morale, but Principle Green disagrees. Dawson looks out the window and sees Eve heading off so he hurridly agrees to do the video and than runs out to catch up with Eve. When he does Eve invites him to have sex with her and she tells him to be prepared and she'll find a place and a time.

Back at the hospital Pacey finds Andie talking to a guy that she introduces as Mark and Pacey tells her to get ready to leave because he has come to pick her up. She pretends to be happy but Joey and Pacey look on suspiciously as she shares a rather intimate goodbye with Mark. As they walk out to the car Pacey comments on how jealous he is of Mark being able to see Andie all summer while he didn't get to see her at all. And as they drive away from the hospital we see that Andie's face is streaked with tears.

Out at the football field, Jen and Jack are watching some pretty terrible cheers being performed while Mitch is trying to coach the new Minutemen. Henry the new freshman and quarterback is following Mitch around looking for a chance to show off his stuff. As Jack and Jen walk around the field, the ball keeps flying off to their side giving Jack cause to keep catching the ball and throw it back out again. Mitch gets fed up with Henry's persistant haggling and decides to give him chance. But Henry says that he needs somebody to be a ringer, somebody like Jack.

Dawson is at the pharmacist and is rather embaressed at the prospect of having to buy condoms. After whispering to the pharmacist a ouple of times the pharmacist than shouts out in a really loud voice where they are situated. Dawson makes his way over there but is accosted at the site of how many different type of condoms there are available. Than two men and a women come up to him and try to help by telling him their personal favourites and the pros and cons of each different type. They than grab a box each and than procede to leave.
Back at Capeside Football field Henry and Jack are diving and rolling and Jack is doing a really great job at keeping up with him and the two make some really good plays.
The next day the whole gang is back at school again and Pacey makes hints about how much time he wants to spend with Andie - alone but she tells him that she's rather go to the pep rally and spend time with everyone.
Mitch catches up with Jack later on in the day and tells him that he would like him to join the football team. Jack immediately says no saying that the whole team would make fun of him because of his sexuality, but Mitch is adament and continues to talk Jack into joining.

As Dawson is loading the car for the pep rally later that night Jen notices a bag that he has dropped, looking inside she sees the condoms that Dawson had bought before. He's embaressed and snatches the bag back, but Jen takes it in her stride and starts to give him tips seeing that he is a first timer after all. She compares it to a Ice Cream Sundae saying that he wants to eat it fast enough so that it dosn't melt but he wants to eat it slowly enough to be able to savour it all.
Later on at the pep rally Jen is cheering rather sarcastically about the football team and the Principle starts to announce the Minutemen. Pacey, Joey and Andie enter the stadium and see Jack running up to the dtage. Surprisingly to say the least everyone cheers as Jack runs up, when it is Henry's turn to run up he trips and falls over at Jen's feet. She is rather amused and bends down to ask him if he is ok but Henry just stares at her.
Backstage Dawson is setting up the montage that he made for the rally when Eve shows up and tells him that now is the time. She backs him up against the switchboard and they start to make up. Dawson, unaware that he is sitting on some of the buttons notices some noises but Eve tells him to ignore them. Out in the auditorium the audience start to notice that the screen is raising and they see two pairs of feet underneath. Finally the screen raises totally exposing a shrtless Eve and Dawson in the process of making out. THe whole school starts whooping and cheering while Dawson and Eve begin to bow to the crowd. Dawson than notices Joey as she leaves the auditorium obviously upset.

Pacey and Andie are in the hallway discussing the distance that has been growing between them ever since she returned to Capeside. Andie than goes onto tell him about how lonely she was and how Mark was always there for her. Pacey eventually realizes that she slept with him and he storms out of the school while Andie attempts to apologize to him.
After the pep rally Dawson sits with Eve and tells her that they shouldn't have sex because that's all it would be - just sex and he wants it to be more for the first time that he did it. Eve tell him that she does feel physical attraction for him and reveals that her last name is Whitman.
Pacey drives Joey home and when they arrive she tells him to go talk to Andie because eventually the anger will fade and the person that you love will move on.
At school Mr Mcphee comes up to Jack and congradulates him, asking him to move back home again. Jack refuses but says to ask him again some other time.
Andie is at their spot on the docks when Pacey turns up. Andie again begins to apologize but Pacey cuts her short telling her that he still loves her and that he can forgive her but he can never forget.
"Whether or not I can forgive you, Andie, is not going to be what keeps us apart...I can never go back to loving you the way I did knowing that my love wasn't strong enough the first time around. I could always forgive you, Andie, but I will never forget."
The two of them break up and Pacey leaves.
Mitch and Dawson arrive home to see Joey waiting for him on the dock. He goes to talk to her and discovers to his surprise that she is not that angry at him. She says that she understands that they don't need each other as much as they did before and that things will slowly begin to move on. She asks him what they are now - a friend or a couple and he replies that they're just "Dawson and Joey". He than takes off his pendant and slips it around her neck.
"You think every Joey has a Dawson and every Dawson has a Joey?...I hope so -- for their sake"
