K'klarj is a Klingon purist from the mirror universe and the Son of Kruge.Born on the other side of the looking glass,K'klarj served on his father Kruge's ship since he was old enough to pick up a blade.Politics of the mirror universe are much different than this universe.Since Tiberius was no longer in power, the Genesis incident of this universe never happened in the mirror universe.Kruge is still very much alive and quite powerful in the mirror universe.K'klarj is very close with Kruge and both despise the Klingon Cardassian alliance but know that it's nessesary in order to avoid being overrun by the Terran Empire.Since Kruge is so respected,his ship gets to see a lot of action.K'klarj and Kruge have had many missions in many sectors,some that have yet to be charted or are in enemy territory in this universe.After many years of serving alongside the Cardassians and Ferengi of the Alliance,K'klarj begins to develop animosity for other races.K'klarj feels that treaties with non-Klingon races dilutes the blood and makes the warriors weak.Taking advantage of his father's influence,K'klarj gets possession of a transporter that can beam him to our universe and away from the dishonorable Cardassians and Ferengi.K'klarj beams to this universe only to find things aren't much better.Though the Alliance doesn't exist in this universe,his father is dead by the hands of Tiberius.To add insult to injury, the Klingon Empire has a treaty with the Terran Empire.Unable to get back to where he came from, K'klarj explores the galaxy for a while noticing the differences in this universe and his.Planetary systems that were obliterated in his universe are thriving in this one.Other planets that were once under Alliance rule are now Romulan worlds in this universe.K'klarj soon meets a Klingon exobiologist named J'Lok and marries.Wanting to find his place in this universe,J'Lok introduces her husband to an old friend from the warriors academy named Ri'Par who asks both warriors to join his ship.K'klarj,knowing a great deal about systems that are out of the Klingon Empires reach is assigned to Stellar Cartography but soon outgrows the position.It's realized that his true potential isn't being reached.He is later assigned to marine commander.
