A World War II war correspondent and an author and a journalist for the Los Angeles Times, he was born June 2, 1913, in La Junta, Colo., was publisher of The Guide and was a one-year resident of Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Alannah of Las Vegas; and brother, Clyde of Hesperia, Calif.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until services at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary. Burial will be in Bunkers Memory Gardens.
