This was Katie's Farewell Party. She's in the NAVY and was stationed in San Diego, CA. Not only was it a fun night but it was also the last night that many of us where in the same room together.
Katie is my best friend. We met at DBCC sometime in 1998. We were introduced by Anthony, and that is the one thing I will be forever greatful to him for. I remember the day I met her very well only because she was wearing a BRIGHT green shirt that could have made a blind man flinch. I said hello and gave her a great big hug. I think she kind of hated me at that moment. See, what Anthony had failed to mention was her tremendous phobia of being touched or held by anyone she hadn't known for at least a couple of years.
You could say that Katie was anti-social but you would have been very wrong. She was just anti-stupid people, and in Daytona, it's hard to find non-stupid people. (No Offence to anyone from Daytona that might be reading this. Then again, if you can read, you're not included in this category anyways!)
Well, time passed by and I think she realized that party Michelle was simply 'one' of my many personality traits she started to warm up to me. Constant hugging was good for her. I think she found herself then. She was very unconcerned with her looks at the time, due to some insane idea that she wasn't pretty or something, so she never put any thought into what she was wearing. Of course, I was the complete oposite of her. I wouldn't walk out of my room without fixing my make up and hair.
We pretty much ended up balancing eachother out. While hanging with her I learned that I don't have to make myself up all the time because I'm cute enough to go all natural if I want to ;) and she learned that she was worth taking the time to fix up! I hope you all understand what I'm trying to say. I'm not sure I'm making myself very clear on this.
Well, since then we've been through a lot together. Marriages, Divorces, Childbirth (that one's all her, thank the goddess!), bridal showers, baby showers, family parties, crazy parties, one night stands, clothes shopping (I'm not a BRIGHT person!), facing our mothers, road trips, changing diapers (a good friend always helps!), moving furniture, moving bodies (this one hasn't really happened yet), grocery shopping, gas runs in the middle of the night, keeping eachother in line before we do something really stupid... you know, that sort of thing. I love her very much. She's the sister I never knew I always wanted. If soulmate's do exist, she's one of them!

The baby "Samantha" is Brandy's first born. We haven't heard from Brandy much lately. She was always a good friend, but she is married, has had two more kids and has moved to parts unknown. She left a couple of messages sparatically on my answering machine, but she never leaves a number where I can reach her. I hope she is doing well.As for Jill. Well, she is another one of those soul mate types of people I mentioned earlier. I was very close to her for a long time but she fell in love and got busy -- as we all do now and then. I didn't see her for a long time but I ran into her at Wal*Mart during Thanks Giving last minute shopping and she asked me to be her maid of honor!!!! I'm very excited! As soon as the holidays are over I am going to show up at her place with presents or something. I really REALLY miss her!
Here be Melissa and I. She's a cutie. I don't know her very well, but we always end up hanging out together at the clubs. She's got a hell of a personality! I love to party with her, she's just all smiles.

This is my friend Joey, better known as NewYork. He was my 1st boyfriend here in Daytona and we are still good friends. Although he's a good person, I wouldn't reccomend dating him -- don't ask, just trust me.However, he's a lot of fun and I suggest that you invite him to your next party.
This is Krissy. She's a cute little thespian/broadway/country singer girl!. She often DJ's here in Daytona for SuperStar DJ company. They are great! You should look them up the next time you're in town and go to one of their shows. I promise you'll have fun.
