Special Abilities

The Founders of the Dominion are shapeshifters of remarkable ability. Their form allows them total inveunarablity to most physical weapons and attacks.

Shapeshifters natural state is a liquid state, which they must return to after 16 hours in solid form. They must expend one mental trait per hour beyond that to hold their solid form. Once all traits have been expended the Founder must return to its liquid state.

Founders may chose any form they wish, ranging in volume from a bird or small rat, to a larger object the size of a wall. Such form shifts are indecipherable from the real thing even on sensors. They can do so at will--this allows them to vary their physical traits at will one a turn. (Forms should have pre-agreed upon values with a storyteller) Shapeshifters may also use up to four of their physical traits as social trait related to appearance. If these traits are expended as social traits they cannot be replenished from the physical pool, and they remain used. Founders have a total of 40 physical traits they can spend during a day. Any form they choose can have up to 20 total traits. Once these traits are used, they do remain used. Those not expended during a given form still go back into the pool. (Example)

Founders cannot maintain the shape of any parts of themselves that have been disconnected from the main body. While these 'peices' remain capable of mobility they cannot change from the liquid state. These parts can rejoin the whole.

Founders are joined by a telepathic connection known as the Great Link. This link is so strong that no Founder can harm another without spending at 3 Willpower traits.

Status Concerns

The Founders have the permanant traits of Respected, Honored, Cherished, and Worshiped x3 with regards to Jem'Hadar.

The Founders also begin the status traits of Respected, Honored, and Cherished with respect to all other members of the Dominion. (Including Vorta.)

A Founder who succeeds in injuring or killing another gains the negative status trait: Exiled x5.

Social Issues

All Jem'Hadar and Vorta are socially programed to regard the Founders as gods. They should regard Founders as if they have the Discipline: Majesty
