Good story from an Enlightened visitor in Australia
I have to tell about a situation that occurred while I was visiting a friend. We were standing outside discussing the rust in the back of her car. She really wanted to get the rust cut out and fixed up but didn't have the money for that. Finally she said "I wish someone would smash into the car so I can get it fixed for nothing. Not the front of the car just the back would do nicely."
Within five minutes we watched a car drive down this quiet street then, without warning, the car veered across to the other side of the road, mounted the verge and smashed into the back of my friends car. The driver explained that he just wasn't watching where he was going. The damage bill to the car exceeded the insured value, so the insurers paid out $6000 for a car that, prior to the accident, was only worth $1000 and my friend was able to purchase a better car.
Sure as hell impressed me, but my friend simply passed it off as nothing more than a coincidence!
