Bell-curves are about the easiest way to graph most things as seen by the our examples. Why would we talk about bell curves on this site devoted to psychic phenomena? Well, it's a good way to show how we feel about the non-believing skeptics out there. They aren't good people or bad people or any such thing as that, they are just so far back on the psychic ability curve that they can't begin to imagine what a believer would experience during a supernatural event.
Maybe believer isn't the best word here. We should use the phrase "Enlightened One" for someone who has had a supernatural experience of some kind in their lives. When someone on the lower end of the curve hears someone on our end of the curve speak of feeling the great cosmic consciousness during a meditation session, they can't begin to imagine what that experience was like so the easiest path for them to take is to deny the existence of the event and label the "Enlightened One" somewhat screwy.
They don't know what they're missing!
