The Companion
The dream came in the mid-night. I was in a building that had a few windows to the outside. As I watched from the 3rd person perspective, I could see that there was a companion sitting with me. The Companion was dressed in floor length hooded robe and only the beautiful face could be vaguely seen in the dimly lit building.
It was very spiritual. Just knowing that someone was with me and offering spiritual support meant a great deal. People walking by on the outside didn't all believe there was someone with me but now and then someone would get a glimpse of the two of us and know that I wasn't alone and the truth was with me.
The dream was so real that I knew it was a new truth. It was the closest thing to a revelation that has happened to me in too many years so I will treasure this dream as a very special one. There is a spiritual side of us that is to be our companion in life.
Perhaps the non-spiritual people we know either don't have the companion or theirs has never been loosened from the narrow confines of their spiritual prison. Over the years I have had occasional flashes of my companion but didn't know what it was or where it came from. I spoke of it as the spiritual side of us but didn't think of it in terms of being a separate part of our being. It could also account for the feeling that myself and many others have that we are twins with someone and we go through life with the nagging feeling that we were separated at birth from someone.
Having The Companion offers new ways of looking at the many psychic and spiritual beliefs I've held over the years. The Companion could be the link between all living things and account for the web of super consciousness that we share. And all of this tied through a central spiritual switchboard of sorts to other parts of the universe and ultimately to The Consciousness or God, if you prefer, which is all that there is.
Putting this discussion on a more earthly plane, we could think of this in terms of computer groups at work. I work for a rather large company but our computer group can only see the people around us. To see people in another building or department we need a different computer link. With the right link you can see the entire company via our intranet. By placing other special computer links in the system, we can see the world via the internet.
There are people within our company who never see computers outside of their department. Others can see larger chunks of the business depending on their job requirements. We can communicate with each other and the world using email. But unless you have special permissions, you can't actually see my computer. There are special people who have the permissions or power to see each computer and could, if they wished, control what you do.
The Companion may be our link to the outside world. Different people may have companions of varying and different strengths and can see different things depending on where they are in life at that time much as you would find with computers in the business world. Awareness that the spiritual world exist may give you the edge over those who don't believe.
