Are We All Psychics?
Are we all psychics? That question has been put to me recently and although the first response was a resounding yes, it did make me stop and think for awhile.
Are psychic abilities just another sense like smell? Dogs have so many receptors in their noses that some have been trained to smell cancer on a human being. We certainly can't smell cancer and can't really imagine having that sensitive of a nose but we don't call the dogs psychics that can perform this feat.
Are the receptors for picking thoughts out of the ether any different than those for smell? The legend of the "Third Eye" may be referencing a cluster of receptors located in the forehead that can sense and interpret the thought waves of other people or perhaps sense the veils of time and space that surround us.
My thought is that we are all born with the tools intact and gradually lose the abilities from lack of use and a mental blockade brought on by the inability to govern the volume of thoughts pounding on us all day. Wouldn't it by nice to be able to turn it back on and control the volume? Or would you really want to know what people are thinking?
