As I said before, when I got married, I suddenly acquired this HUGE family. Tim's father is the youngest of 7, and while Tim's mother is the younger of two, her mother was the oldest of 10. It adds up pretty quickly. My mom was the youngest of three, and my dad was an only child. I didn't have that large a family...how quickly thing change.
My love. My best friend. My husband. What else can I say? We met each other through the SCA, and finally got married August 27, 1999.
Tim is one of the most caring and sensitive men I've met...even if he ignores me in favor of his legos occasionally. :P I finally got a picture of him by himself, though I'm looking for another. Tim has a BA in art, so he draws really well though not as often as I would like. He is one of my many Game Masters for the Role Playing Games I am in. Currently, his game is being run in the world he created, Arcadayn. Darra is my character for that campaign. I am in 3 others with three other gaming systems. Crazy, no? Anyway, I really love the Arcadayn campaign, and I think Tim is wonderful. Surprise, surprise....
My Family
Steve and Irene Little
My parents. They could have a web site, if they ever got around to making one, but until then, I will just pester them about it. Currently, they are retired (really) astronomy professors and living in Colorado. Well, they come back to Colorado to rest every once in a while. Usually they are touring the US looking for archaoastronomy or petroglyph sites. Or just touring foreign countries. Their latest foreign trip was another month spent in Germany visiting my brother. Their next one should be a trip to New Zealand and Australia. They were supposed to go on that trip last spring, but I was kind of getting married. Ooops!
Kevin Little
My little brother. He graduated with departmental honors in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University last June. Currently, he is spending a year at the University of Freiburg in Germany, though he seems to be spending an awful lot of time hopping back across the ocean. He tries to spend as much time as he can manage with his girlfriend, Amanda, down in Baltimore. He will be on term break soon...for the next two months...in Germany. I'm so jealous! But then he's going to come back and go to med school down at Johns Hopkins!!! Yay, Kev!!!
I've discovered that I get along much better with Kevin now than I used to. Maybe that's because I never see him...hmmm.... Anyway, I'm not sure he's quite used to me being married...but then, neither am I.
My In-laws
Tom and Mary Emrick
Tim's parents. They live in Indiana, just north of Indianapolis. And I would love to visit them more often, except that I am violently allergic to the two cats they have. Pelli (Sir Pellinore) is generally frightened of anyone who isn't family, but Alex is very friendly....not too intelligent, but friendly. And they leave cat hair everywhere! Mary is a math instructor at Martin University in Indianapolis. Tom is a technical illustrator.
Carol, Kurt, and Emily Emmert
Tim's sister, brother-in-law, and niece. Carol is just a few years older than I am, which I think is wonderful. It means I can talk to her about all those growing up things I remember...like music and things like that. She works for the US Postal Service in Indianapolis. Kurt is interested in absolutely everything he can get his hands on. When they came for my wedding, he wanted to looks at stuff through my parent's telescopes. Unfortunately, it remained cloudy for most of the time, though I believe they did finally get to look at something the night before they left. Emily is the cutest little girl right now. She absolutely enchanted everyone at my wedding, and didn't mind being handed off to almost any woman there. She was just adorable!
Lucile Wagoner
Tim's maternal grandmother. Lucile is the only grandmother either of us have, and I'm thrilled to get one again. I love to talk to her, and look forward to spending more time with her at some point...whenever I get some vacation time and can get back out to Indiana again.
Tim and I are in the process of completing a family tree for the both of us. He has always been interested in history of his family, and I have become much more interested in mine. I know that Tim is working on a genealogy for the web, but it's slow going, since the web isn't particularly conducive to that type of format.
