NIGHTSCREAM  Nightscream is one of the few survivors of Megatron's invasion. During the Vehicon blitzkrieg, Nightscream ran for his life, whilst watching other Transformers falling around him. Through sheer luck, he fell down a hole which led to an organic part of Cybertron - the first clue that Cybertron once supported organic life. Although unconscious, his body scanned in some local fossilised DNA samples and was given a bat beast mode. However, he was unable to transform to robot mode. When he stumbled upon the other Maximals, he spied upon them, hoping to learn their transformation art (not realising that it required strict discipline as well). Nightscream was reformatted by Optimus Primal and joined the Maximal ranks. Nightscream is haunted by memories of the Vehicon invasion. He lost everything and everyone he cared for. Despite having proved himself to be a courageous fighter, he sees himself as a coward, because he ran out on his friends to save his own hide. Abilities: Nightscream is a very fast and agile flyer in both robot and beast modes. He can also shoot his fangs out (attached to a tongue-like structure) at his opponents, draining them of their Energon. He can focus a sonic blast at specific targets, or amplify his echo location ability into a sonic scream for general destruction. Like all Maximals, his beast mode hides him from Vehicon scanners. Weaknesses: Nightscream is the youngest of the Maximals. Coupled with his inexperience in warfare, he often makes rash decisions and is frequently insubordinate. |
