RATTRAP  After returning to Cybertron from prehistoric Earth after the Beast Wars, Cheetor soon found himself being hunted down by Vehicons. To make things worst, he was then infected with the virus that had allowed Megatron to conquer Cybertron. Rattrap was reformatted by the Oracle alongside Optimus Primal, Cheetor and Blackarachnia into his techno-organic form. Having always been a reluctant warrior during the Beast Wars, Rattrap had extreme difficulty disciplining himself and mastering the art of techno-organic transformation. When he eventually did figure out how to do it, he was disappointed with his robot mode due to its lack of armaments. Indeed, many of his fellow Maximals (except Optimus) underestimated his power. However, Optimus Primal continued to believe in Rattrap. Rattrap soon regained his confidence as a warrior and is somewhat less pessimistic than before. Abilities: Rattrap has an array of sensors, which allows him to detect approaching Vehicons. His tail also allows him to interface with any computer terminal on Cybertron, or any Transformer with an access port (such as the Vehicons). It was with this tail that he accessed Tankor and discovered that he was in fact Rhinox. In robot mode, his wheels allow him to roll at high speeds. A back compartment accessible in either mode, stores a variety of tools and equipment. In beast mode, he can scamper about and leap limited distances. It also masks him from Vehicon sensors. Weaknesses: Rattrap is just as blunt and sarcastic as ever. His dry wit is not always appreciated by his comrades and he often inadvertantly (or simply callously) hurts their feelings. His greatest weakness in combat is the lack of any offensive weaponry. He also dislikes his beast mode, which he has to try to stay in to avoid Vehicon attention. As always, he panics easily. But he wouldn't be Rattrap if he weren't a bundle of nerves. :-) |
