Squirrel: Well, if this is the X-Paper, then we must be Moose and Squirrel, your personal tour guides on the information super highway! Today's first rest stop is Mulder Clones R Us (http://geocities.datacellar.net/Area51/Lair/4576/clonecover.html). I'll warn you right now - if you're a guy, you might want to skip this site... but all I could think of was how much I'd like to get one! Can I have a clone, honey, please?!? Moose: * sigh * Trust me, if you're a guy and you're involved with a female who's an X-File fan, you're gonna end up here. Just close your eyes and chant to yourself "It's gonna end someday, it's gonna end someday." This appeals to two of the desires that female fans have, shopping and Agent Mulder. However, there is one treat for the guys. If you dig real deep, you'll find a similar deal available for Scully clones! S: This site is very, very well done. The author freely admits she swiped most of her pictures of DD off another site, but all the beautiful design and cleverly worded text is all hers. The catalog is brilliant (I think I'm partial to the #X1013 model myself), and the order form (with a special note about all the 'Dana Scully's' who have tried to order clones) with all the "NEW" features and accessories you can choose from (Season 6 hairstyle, water bed in perfect working order, big can of *Diana-B-Gone*) is just great. A super spot to drop in on. M: It really looks like it should be selling something from this site! The author has done a great job in describing the products "available" and the graphics are choice. It links cleanly and it loads quickly. It may be a one-trick pony, but it's one worth dropping in on. I won't spoil the bit, although there's one joke involving Ratboy that's a howl! S: Our second stop is Alien Ice Picktures Presents... The Web Adventures of Mulder and Scully (http://geocities.datacellar.net/~bjruef/Action/icepicktures.htm). Moose chose this delightful site for us this week. It's sick. It's demented. It's hysterical. M: I prefer to think of it as a pithy and cutting-edge commentary on how the icons that television has created are becoming blurred in the culture we all share! Okay, maybe it's just that I like to see little plastic figures goofing around… S: Just goes to show you what the combination of a digital camera and too much time on your hands will produce. M: So, how would how hero's deal with the real Men In Black? Which Agent likes violent movies? When faced with the ultimate evil we call Barney, what will their reactions be? All those questions will be answered at this site. The answers are pretty much what you'd expect too! S: Seriously, this site is very well done. The pictures are awfully silly, but the captions and stories that go along with them show an incredible amount of creativity. Make sure that you check out the "Action Caption" section where you can see this week's picture, and enter your own caption into the contest. Results are posted each week, with the winner and the runner's up. M: Oh yeah, this is another site that you could easily lose an hour looking around. Make sure you can Alt / Tab to an Excel Spreadsheet at the office! The photos all come up with a snap and it's a seamless webpage from front to back. S: Don't forget to check out the "Action!Dating Online" section... M: And a pair of antlers to the first fan who reads this review and posts a picture of a moose and squirrel to the Action!Dating Online section for us! S: Well, that about wraps up the highway tour for this week. If you have any comments on our reviews, or suggestions of sites we should check out, drop us a line at moosnsqril@aol.com. Until next week, fellow philes! Just click the little space dog below! back to the beginning |
