5.Then on 16 August 1977, he died and became immortal. To this day Graceland is a living industry, with pilgrims passing through his home-shrine in their thousands everyday. He only left the states once-to do his draft military service in Germany (where he met Priscilla). He never toured, nor left his homeland again.
	Even now, year upon year he still sells millions of records, and will probably hold forever the longest list of hit singles-standing at 139- in the Guiness Book of Hit Singles.
