What, you never played Rifts? Shame!

For those of you who don't know, Rifts is set in a post-apocolyptic world that is somewhat different then most after-the-bomb type games (come to think of it, Palladium has a game called "After the Bomb"). It is a world where magic and technology co-exist. As far as concepts go, it's one of the more original games on the market. The only problem I have is that a lot of details have been left out (how much does food cost, or a pair of boots, and how can a society use credits for a monetary system when there is no mass communication?). In a lot of the files below, I have tried to clarify some points (I use these in my own campaign). I also have lots of new equipment, weapons, and some adventures.

Here's what I have for the Rifts game. All files are in Rich Text Format (RTF). Right click on the link and then select "Save as" to download. If you distribute it, please give me credit for it.

The Science of Rifts These are a series of articles I've written about science and technology in the game of Rifts. I try to cover some topics about the game that are not covered (in most Sci Fi RPGs, come to think of it). There are also some new rules within these articles (particularly in regards to nuclear reactors and the up and coming space travel article). This page will be updated with new articles from time to time.

Rifts Corrections Rifts is a great game, but it lacks a lot of details. Thankfully, the rules are versatile enough to compensate for this. I have rules corrections and additions that I use in my campaign (including O.C.C. changes, new smart missile rules, bursting rules, and more). There's also details on futuristic police and their gear (and also information on future firefighters, medical services, and even construction equipment of the future), rules on communications (planet wide and interstellar), and more.

Rifts Gear All sorts of new stuff here. There are Spaceship accessories (including rules for how to desgin your own spaceships), new weapons, new equipment (including a master equipment list for common items), secret technologies (stuff the governments of Rifts and Phase World know about, but your not supposed too), and vehicle accessories. Note that you will need the Rifts Corrections document to fully use this one (I make references to it).

Rifts Character Sheet I managed to get everything I needed into two pages. Well, three if you have a bot or a suit of power armor. Check it out.

Mechanoid Stats This is for those of us awaiting the Mechanoid RPG (hopefully soon, I remember when Palladium said it was very tentatively scheduled for 1994). These are mega-damage versions of Mechanoids and their vehicles listed in the "Mechanoid Invasion Trilogy," a reprint of the RPG that started off the Palladium company. You can buy it here. I urge you to by this book. It is too cool.
