These birds are a lot of fun to watch. I'm not a bird watcher but when you get close to the killdeers nest they run around flaping there wings & make lots of noise. They will run a little ways then stop. Hoping you will follow them away from there nest. If you do they will go a little farther each time stoping for a second to see if you are still following.
