General Genealogy Information Links
Cyndi's List
Cyndi's List is a great site. It is an well indexed, long (very long!) list of every topic you could ever imagine that has anything to do with genealogy and family history. It is a great plact to find all sort of resources.

The Genealogy Home Page
The Genealogy Home Page is another great site. Most useful for me are the links to the counties of all the states.

Relationship Chart
Have you ever wondered what the difference is between 2nd cousins and cousins twice removed? Here is a chart to help explain the relationship between two people.

Genforum Surname List
Genforum is a message board divided up into thousands and thousands of surnames. I have found a lot of great information from here and have met many cousins. If your surname is not included, you can request that it gets added.

Genealogical Index
This is a great search engine to go through hundreds of family web sites that have been entered by people. I've found a lot of information here.

The Genealogy Society of Central Missouri
This is my local genealogy society. It is a very well organized and well attended society. We meet on the first Tuesday of every month (except August). There are always wonderful guest speakers at each meeting.

Fun Links
Gotten your family tree back to the beginning of time? There are a lot of people out there who can claim descendancy from Adam. Basically, if you get a family line into a royal family from Europe (and so many people manage to do so--even me!) you can find some book somewhere that will get you back to Adam. Or perhaps you prefer to be a descendant of Thor and Odin? Pick your favorite!

Of course, no serious genealogist takes the begats of the Bible or other religious mythologies as fact. But anyhoo, here are a few fun sites to help you with those really, really old branches:

Old Testament Bible Genealogy
This is a short, but detailed, page on some biblical genealogies.

Royal Genealogies of the World
This is a very extensive collection of royal genealogy data. It has been collected from various sources, mostly published books.

Britannica.com
Information on Noah.

Norse Mythology
This is a detailed site with lots of information and a large family tree from Priam, King of Troy to Thor to Odin to the Royal Families of Europe.

Descendants of Adam, Jesus and others
I don't know where the sources for this information comes from, and the subject mattter is controversial, but it is interesing, nonetheless.

Norse Mythology
Another site with the family tree of the Norse Gods. Site includes some good links.

The Eddas.
This site has some information covering The Eddas. The page is short but it has some helpful links on it and it one of the few sites that I could find which discuss The Eddas.
