Agaroth
Remember Ino, the scythe-wielding hyena chappie created by excellent story-writing person Chris Zawadzki? If so, you may also recall that I mentioned his story includes a scary gryphon bloke. Say hello to Agaroth, everyone!
As is probably obvious, Agaroth is the villain of the piece; but he was also wrongfully accused of murder and banished from his homeland and stopped from being king, so it’s understandable that he’d be a bit narky. He causes all sorts of trouble for the good guys, and not just because he can shoot black fire out of his fingertips; much schemey cunning and swordplay ensues, and by the time the story reaches its conclusion there’ll be no swash left unbuckled, no table unjumped on, and no chandelier unripped from the ceiling. There might be one or two annoyed janitors, however.
Progress on this picture was pleasingly swift, right up to the point where I had to make the fire cast a shadow instead of highlighting things flickeringly. I think I just about managed to crack it in the end, but it took longer than is necessary to liberate a foreign country* to work out where all the dark bits should go. Oddly, the fire itself was really simple to colour, which just goes to show how useful it is to set fire to things, or something.
Agaroth is rightly copied to Chris Zawadzki, and should you wish to converse with him, you can click here to commence e-mailing.
