Angus and Sharlay

Most of you will probably know by now that these two are the evil mutant alien cow people I drew for issue six of Bubba the Redneck Werewolf, in a story written by the mighty Scary Larry about bovine invaders from outer space, and their encounter with the eponymous changeling. And if you didn’t know, you do now. So everything’s worked out quite well really, hasn’t it?

(Just so you know, the things they’re holding are called Power Prods, and are used variously for blasting things with high-powered lasers, hypnotising livestock and hitting people over the head. I thought I’d better clear that up in case you thought they were some kind of novelty egg whisks, or something.)

And yes, I’m well aware of the questions raised by having anthropomorphic cow characters wearing leather, and in fact there’s a completely rational explanation for it, which is actually quite funny. Far funnier, however, is my decision not to tell you what it is.
