Zex the Ref

I gather that from time to time, people express confusion as to exactly what species Zexyz is supposed to be. These people are, of course, cretins. And anyway, it doesn’t matter what kind of animal he is - all you need to know is that he’s big, bristly, snarly and mauls people. And he really likes milk, which keeps his fangs strong and healthy and capable of biting a hippo in half.

But anyway. This was my first try at doodling Mr Z’s furry self, and I was extremely happy with the result - unusual characters are always a great deal of fun to draw (there’s tons of personality in that face), but they can be tricky to get right, so it was most gratifying that he came out properly the first time. He seems particularly well-suited to the role of ref, as well - smiling or not, you wouldn’t argue with him. Well, not unless you were Blag’s size, obviously. And even then you’d be pushing your luck.
