Distributed
Management Task Force Releases Final CIM Schema v2.5
San Jose, Calif. - June 12, 2001
http://www.dmtf.org/about/press/releases/2001_06_12.php
In association
with the announcement of CIM v2.5, DMTF unveiled its new Web site, which
has been revamped to respond to DMTF member feedback for improved navigation,
content organization and design. This article is from the Press Release
section of the DMTF web site and cleverly includes information to attract
visitors to the web site. Including this kind of section in an organizations'
web site dramatically increases the chances for their inclusion in print
publications. Notice the layout and links on the left hand side for news
reporters.
Web
hosting moves toward full outsourcing model

Industry
executives expect more casualties in the lower end of the Web hosting
industry. Those that cannot provide a one-stop shop for everything from
collocation to managed services probably won't survive. The big players
in the field -- notably Electronic Data Systems and IBM Global Services
-- will benefit, while small specialists will struggle to remain independent.
