“I like chocolate. There is no bad here.” - Xander
Snack Break
Summary: Angel helps Xander take a break from studying Disclaimer: They’re not mine E-mail: saone@yahoo.com Dedication: This is for Niccy ‘cause she wanted something to take her mind off finals (I feel your pain :) Notes: Xander is in college and he and Angel are together. Do we really care where anyone else is? This is very short but after all the studying I’ve been doing I’m just glad I can still write coherent sentences.
Xander absently tapped a pencil against his head as he stared at the philosophy book laying open before him. He had stopped understanding the words some time ago. He could still read the text, but nothing was quite reaching the cognitive part of his brain.
Angel had been watching his love’s slow progression into finals induced madness for the last five minutes. The slightly maniacal glint in the teenager’s eyes was beginning to worry him.
The vampire knew he needed to do something to take the boy’s mind off the upcoming exams. Angel quickly formulated a plan and with a wicked grin he silently made his way to the kitchen.
Ten minutes later Xander had stopped tapping his pencil and had started chewing on it. With the eraser in his mouth he was no longer able to mumble incoherently to himself.
“Baby, could you come in here for a minute?” Angel called from the kitchen.
Xander looked up and blinked a few times to bring the real world back into focus. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing big, I just had a little accident and could use some help.”
Xander let out a deep sigh and rose from his chair, stretching until he felt the vertebrae in his back pop. He stifled a yawn and made his way to the kitchen. He stopped abruptly at the doorway and briefly wondered when he had fallen asleep because what was in front of him was truly the stuff dreams were made of.
Angel stood by the counter, the clothes he had been wearing were neatly folded on the table. He wasn’t completely naked, however, he did have *something* on.
Xander rubbed his eyes and actually pinched himself a few times. “What. . . did . . . you . . .?”
Angel tried to look innocent. “Well, I was going to fix you a snack because you’ve been studying so hard, but something happened and the next thing I knew I was covered in this chocolate pudding.” While he spoke his hand had been spreading the chocolatly substance further down his body. “I was hoping you could forgo your books long enough to help me get cleaned up.”
Xander’s eyes, which had been very dutifully following Angel’s hand, snapped back up to the vampire’s face. “Help. . . you. . . clean . . .”
Angel smiled. “Are you hungry Xander?”
With this the mortal finally broke out of his knowledge overloaded trance and gave Angel a grin. “I could eat. . . something.” |
