RPG History and Archives

The new RPG just began, and this is the history thus far...

The Pilot

02/12/00

Quinn Mallory wakes up from a long sleep. He gets into his car and heads to Professor Arturo's class. When he gets there he notices a strange thing though. Professor Arturo is unusually mad at him, and storms out of the class. Then later, at Dopler Computer Store, Hurley tells Quinn to get out or he'll call the cops. Finally, Quinn goes back home to find a double of himself. The double tells Quinn of his adventures "sliding" and that now that Quinn has found out how, his life will never be the same.

Arturo and Wade Welles come over, and find Quinn in his basement. He has a timer, and opens the vortex. In awe, and very eager, they jump in. The vortex also sucks in a man by the name of Rembrandt Brown. They all end up on the other side of the vortex on a war driven world!

Of Hope and War

02/13/00

A Mr. Rembrandt Brown now joins the team. They are on a war torn world where cloning was perfected and there are two Hitlers. Obviously, the Nazis then won WW2, and they chase after the Sliders. The Sliders speed the timer up to escape, but they loose their co-ordinates, and end up on an alternate world where North Korea won the Korean War. The, the Sliders slide again, only to find that they are on a world about to be hit with a 50 foot title wave!

Age of the Apocalypse

03/04/00 and 03/05/00

Our team narrowly escapes the title wave world, only to end up on a worse world, left in rubble, and warning it's population of some being known as "Apocalypse." The timer is fried from earlier malfunctions, so the group decides to go to the Mallory house, but when they arrive, it is burned down, leaving only the entrance to the basement in tact. The group sees Mike Mallory, and as him and them try to go into the basement, a huge blue and metallic being known as Apocalypse fires a huge blast at them. Luckily, they make it to the basement in time. When they are down there, and after Apocalypse thinks he has succeeded, Mike Mallory tells the group that this Apocalypse is a destroyer sent to earth from aliens trying to overtake the planet! Well...since the timer is trashed they must use the one Quinn's double was working on before he was killed by Apocalypse. They finish the timer, but it lacks a power source. Then Arturo finds a solution to both problems. Something has to be powering Apocalypse, so if they can find a way to stop him, they can then take out his power source, leaving Apocalypse dead and giving the timer a new stable power source. Well...they succeed in stopping Apocalypse, and they use his power source to power the timer. They then slide off of that earth, taking Mike Mallory with them.

Life Is No Game

04/01/00, 04/08/00, and 04/09/00

They sliders and Mike Mallory slide off of Mike's earth and into a rather normal earth. Mike, seeing that this earth has everything his barren earth could not give him, decides to stay. Our group then heads to the hotel, while Mike goes off to make a new life for himself. There is only one problem for the rest of our group though. Cameramen saw them slide in, and are now after them. They allude them though, and our group them slides to a new world. On this world everything appears to be fake. Our group wonders why this is until Quinn sees a sign saying that they are in some sort of interactive Nintendo. There is only one catch though, in order for them to leave the game they must win...but only one person can win! And that's not the worse part. Just as we find this out Arturo, Wade, and Quinn turn into characters from the game. Arturo turns into Vision, Wade is the Wasp, and Quinn is Morph. Rembrandt doesn't change though, which our group finds odd. Anyway, our group works together to beat the challenges of the game, and make it to the last level, and a huge sentinel known as MasterMold. MasterMold unexpectedly shoots a ray at Wasp killing her. Vision then, who has the ability to make himself intangible, goes inside the monster, only to see a living man trapped in it. Morph turns to Wolverine to free the man, and then turns to Goliath and rips the beast apart, winning the game. Everyone then turns back to normal. Wade is still dead though, and our group holds the man inside MasterMold responsible. This man is named Colin Mallory. He created this game for the purpose of enjoyment, but the whole things went wrong and he was trapped inside MasterMold, the villain of the game. Colin knows of his error, and decides to help all that he can. First, since the game uses pieces of other dimensions to create a complete and real illusion, Colin has many chips for interdimensional travel. He combines one of these with Rembrandt's DNA in order to make the timer more accurate in finding the group's home. He then puts Wade's body in a stasis chamber until they can find a "cure for death." Then the group and Colin slide, leaving wade on Colin's world.
