Experience Gaining |
This section is going to deal with gaining experience points. As you all know, gaining Experience points, or XP, isn't always easy.. But it's always fun. Combat.. to roleplay.. to warring.. to various storylines and to things that you do. The first, and most common way to gain Experience, is through combat. Generally, when fighting, there are different types of matches. Some people fight the non hazardous way and spar or mass spar or Team Spar. There are matches where you may take control of people, such as a slave match. There is XP out there for all types of characters. Below will be listed those matches and how to calculate the XP. Some terms are before. |
Abbreviations and Matches Spar - No Abbreviation - A fight that goes to a certain score. Characters generally train most of their beginning XP this way. Spars are meant to train characters and get them used to battle. Sparring is worth 10 X the Spread in xp for the winner. Loser gets 5 X. Mass Spar - MS - This is where a group of 3 or more characters get together and fight either as teams or on a free for all. They run until either a set amount, or until their base racial HP begins them with. Mass Sparring is worth 5 X highest dice X people. The loser retains 75XP per combatant in the MS including himself. Team Spar - TS - This is where 2 or more people act together as a team. It is treated as an MS for all purposes of figuring out the XP. TSing, however, provides that figure to be given to all remaining members of the winning team. Slave Match - SM - This is where 2 or more people fight each other to a set amount or their character's HP. The outcome of these fights mean that the character is a slave for however long a time is agreed on. Time must be stated in the log. The slave, then, must do all that the master wills but kill themselves and walk into a certain, assured death. SMing is worth 15 X the spread in experience points. Loser gains 5x the spread. Honor Match - HM - This is a match where 2 people, and only two people, fight to sort out an issue, place a bet.. wager anything really. For an offence on one character. The match will go on for the characters HP. HMing is worth 15 X the spread in experience. Death Match - DM - This is where 2 people meet to settle it all on one ride. Where people will come to die. Where.. anyone can be taken from the world and not put back in it. In a deathmatch, you fight to the characters HP. Whomever dies has 24 hours to get themselves rezzed or helped by a friend to get rezzed. DMing is worth 50 X the spread in experience. Combat - No Abbreviation - This is where you may gain experience during SLs for fighting. Combat is to be treated as a DM, except can involve any number of odds. XP is the same as an MS, except the person who makes the last kill gets 10X where those who are left alive keep the 5X like a regular MS. There is another rule to this. For each dice increment of 10, you will suffer a minus 10% XP loss. Use the lowest dice for this. For example. If I was d90 and fought a d70, and a d80, and I won.. I'd get a -20% experience penalty for fighting a weaker opponent. The XP would be 10 X 3 X 90 = 2700 - 20% = 2160zp. Note that this doesn't take affect until you reach d85. However, if you die.. ..You must get resurrected within 24 hours.. Or be gone for good. Sorry, but it could happen. Any questions, contact Drizzt. AA - Assassinations are when an assassin, or a group of 2, are *Hired* to kill a target. There must be a contract filled out, and a full log of what the target did. Then they must complete an AA covered in our Assassinations section. AAing is worth 100 X the spread of whatever you AA.. |
There is also the way of RPing to gain XP. For us to judge how your RP is worth, XP simply send a log to Drizzt, and he will send you a validated receipt. We base XP on skills, storyline purpose. How well put together is is. And combat of course. You may also gain experience by proctoring and logging matches. For proctoring, you are awarded 100xp. For logging you get 50. The only exception is for MSing you get 75 X the number of people as an XP bonus. Logs must be dated. Any questions, ask Drzzt. |
