extremely tired when she begins to tend obsessively to this bun.

Dislikes: A very accepting individual, Dr. Tate has much patience for
the negative traits others show. However, she does find it difficult
to deal with people who try and overpower others and take away their
right to make decisions for themselves.

Hobbies/Interests: Dr. Tate enjoys the company of others more than
anything else. She loves the complexities of behaviour and
relationships and this shines through when she is with her patients
or in general interactions with others. Her hobbies include snow
skiing, tennis and space travel. Because of this, whilst completing
her Cadet training, she obtained her level-2 piloting certificate.

Personal History: Julie Tate was labelled a child genius in her very
early youth but throughout her childhood fought this title
passionately. With continuing recommendations from her teachers, she
was placed in progressively higher classes as each year passed until
she graduated from college at the tender age of 14.

By this time she had fostered an unparalleled passion to study
medicine and was consequently accepted into an undergraduate medical
degree. In the third year of her degree, she undertook one year of
active medical research thus gaining her BMedSci. Tate was
accelerated through the rest of her clinical years and astonished her
Professors with almost perfect marks in her final exams. Because of
her consistant results and groundbreaking research, the now "Doctor"
Julie Tate was named dux of her graduating year and was awarded an
honorary Doctorate of Medicine.

In the month following her graduation, Dr. Tate's world was turned
upside down with the sudden death of her two parents. Her Human
Father and Betazoid Mother, both Admirals of the Federation, were
killed in battle with the Dominion towards the end of the Great War.

With recommendations from the Dean of her medical school, Tate was
thrust into Starfleet Medical Corps with a desire to do some good
amidst all the wrongs.

Telepathic Abilities: Because Dr. Tate is not of pure Betazoid
origins, she lacks, somewhat, the complete ability to act as a
telepath. Rather, she has developed and refined her empathic skills
to a level far superior to that of other Human-Betazoid hybrids. She
does have the limited ability to communicate with other telepaths but
has exceptional skills in sensing the feelings of others and possible
motives behind their actions.
