The Valyrie's bridge module is identical to that of the USS Equinox, one of the first Nova Class ships to see
active service.  It is similar to though smaller than the Intrepid Class bridge.  The
Captain and First Officer each have a chair in the center of the bridge, side-by-side with a console in between.  This console can be used to access any control station and run any system on the ship, though usually only used in this manner in the case of an emergency.  Directly in front of the command center is the flight control or helm station.

The Flight Control Officer has complete control over the ship's sublight and warp propulsions systems frmo this console as well as unparallaled access to the ship's navigational system.  Clockwise from the Flight Control station is the Mission Ops console.  This console is configured on a mission by mission basis to monitor mission specific systems.  It is a secondary station and is usually only manned in a crisis or planetary survey mission.  Clockwise from the Mission Ops station are the exit doors to the Captain's Ready Room and the Main Conference Room.  Aft of the turbolift doors stands the Science Console.  Since the Valkyrie is a Science Vessel, this station is always manned and is of primary importance on exploration or missions of scientific study.

Aft of the Science Station is the
Master Systems Display which includes a schematic of the Valkyrie and all of her subsystems.  This is also the location of the Engineering console on the bridge.  This console is normally unmanned except for situations where engineering control is transferred to the bridge by the Chief Engineer or in situations where the Chief's presence is required on the bridge and he needs to monitor engineering systems.

Clockwise from the Engineering station is the
Main Ops Console.  This console is always manned by the ship's Operations Officer or one of his staff.  This console manages all of the ships resources and has duplicates of the Navigational controls and sensor displays.  Just about any ship's system can be accessed and controlled from this station.

Forward of the Ops station is the primary turbolift access to the bridge.  Forward of the turbolift is the
Tactical/Security station.  This station has a good view of the bridge and the viewscreen and is always manned by a security or tactical officer.  The Valkyrie is not a warship, but all of her phaser arrays, torpedoe tubes, defensive shields, and anti-intruder systems are controlled and monitored from here.  Forward of the Tactical station is the secondary science console, only manned on scientific missions when multiple phenomena or tests need to be monitored.

On either side of the Captain and First officer's chairs is a padded bench for visitors on the bridge who have no designated station such as the
Ship's Counselor or Medical Officer or other VIP's.
