Luke was originally going to be the greedy guy that Han was, and Han was originally going to try to save Leia.

Instead of the Ewoks, the Endor moon was going to be full of Yoda's species. In this scene, Yoda takes off on a speeder.
Cast Members who got Cut
Jim Carrey was cast as Luke Skywalker before Mark Hamill was discovered.
Homer J. Simpson was cast as C3P0, but he just couldn't fit in the C3P0 suit.
