Tear it Down started as aan idea to just take up extra time. I had run into gene at a show and he started throwing ideas at me for a hardcore band. I had just recently ran into bill at the mall and then it dawned upon me.. gen and i could start a band with one of our old friends. I then called up bill and we all ended up getting together and making some noise. The original idea was me on drums, gene on vocals and bill on guitar, but it didn't work out that way. My drumming was not adequate enough for what gene wanted to do so he hopped on drums and i took the mic. We played for a couple weeks while searching for a bass player. I met this kid at the mall named jon who would do the job so the line up was complete. We plyed for a few months and played a few shows but jon became unreliable so we gave him the boot. I had saw doug play a few weeks earlier playing a show with one of his bands and saw how great he was and i asked him if he would fill in for a show. Doug agreed and we practiced a few times with him and then we played the show. It was one of the greatest tear it down shows ever!! After we played our set i asked doug if he would play for us permanently and he said he would so then tear it down was complete. that lineup has not changed and it probably never will. We have lots of talent and i wide range of influence from youth crew to toughguy and some classic rock and but of course metal. So as time goes on we progress to new levels as musicians and work hard for your entertainment.
