You may only include a dog in your gang ifd you have a dog handler ,a model may acquire the dog handler skill instead of choosing any skill table when they roll a 2 or 12 on the advance table.

A dog is a pretty scary sight when its running at you so they cause FEAR. Also the dog does not ho for the vulnerable bits - it just bites you till you stop fighting so any wounds caused in HtH are flesh wounds.
The dog is a small target and so has a -1 mod when shooting at it at all times. Dogs mist be fed like any other gang member, with 3 creds, but because of their good noses for sniffing, they add +2 creds of food when foraging!
