Tellos: Part 3

The whole convention was thrown into chaos. The building was being shaken from its foundation. Todd was taking the Tellosians out a rear exit. Figaro, Kojee, Xavier, Kiyote, and myself chased after them. When all of us emerged out the back exit, I instictively gave the order to get on the bus.

"Why do that?" Todd growled.

"So we could get out of here." I whimpered. "It would be faster and safer than being on foot. So is that alright?" Without saying one word, Todd boarded the bus. "I take that as a 'yes'. Come on, let's go!"

The bus quickly peeled out of the parking lot and was haulted by the onslaught of people running every which way, except out of the way. I let the brake go and the bus slowly rolled down the street; there was no time to waste, but I didn't want to run people over. Even with the bus rolling, they were still getting in the way. The bus wasn't the only vehicle trying to get out of the city, it seemed that every person in the area was running for their cars and were trying to drive off... hopelessly. Blasting the air horn wasn't even helping our situation.

As quickly as the earthquake started, it stopped. It was the strangest earthquake I've been in. With the shaking stop, the panicked crowd still was running around like headless chickens. But atleast they were out of our way. Leaving the city behind, we found a rest stop and took a well needed rest. That chaos has giving me a headache and a rest was on the top of my "things to do list"

As I rested, Todd was busy trying to figure out what was happening with the Tellosians. He couldn't believe that they were here and here with... someone he didn't like. When they asked why he was so hostile towards me, and his response didn't surprise me, even though I was soundly sleeping.

"I not really mad at him persay. I'm more upset at his profession. You see, he fights for a living. I have a thing about that." I woke up. "He's nice and all, but he could be doing something better than fighting."

"Do you have any better jobs, Todd?" I asked him. "Cause the simple fact remains - there are no jobs for the Animen Community. All of us has to use our own special gifts and start our own business. I just happened to find one that I can use my abilities with and it keeps me fit." I flexed. "You can't keep a body like this without a little work."

The skies above begin to darken. Lightning began to dance across the skies and hail dropped to the ground. It was a totally freak storm that no one has ever seen before. It got so dark that no one could see outside, even with nightvision. Something is definently wrong. A buzzing sound is heard outside.

"What is going on out there?" Todd asked. A series of lightning bolts exposed his answer, but not the answer he was looking for. "TORNADO!!! We are done for."
