My Games

Space Flight Sim

My favorite type of game is Star Wars flight simulation, which is the X-Wing series. Again, stunning graphics attracted me. Immersive story lines takes you deeper into the Star Wars saga from both the Rebels' side and the Empire's side as you fly the famous X-Wings and Tie fighters into spectacular space battles. Starting from X-Wing Vs Tie Fighters, support for 3D cards takes the graphics one step closer to reality. And the sounds are more realistic than before. The series was brought to an end with X-Wing Alliance, the ultimate X-Wing style game. Combining the use of hyperdrive and the availability of Corellian transports, you assume the role of the youngest son of a galactic trader. After you father was killed by the Imperials, you joined the Rebel Alliance, simultaneously fighting against the Empire and regaining your family's strength. This new concept of Star Wars game makes the game more immersive and addictive. The final mission of taking out the Second Death Star with the Millenium Falcon was exactly as it appeared in the movie. It was sad to see the end of a good game series. But at least the X-Wing series ended with one of the best Star Wars game ever produced. Speaking about Star Wars, who can forget the famous Rebel Assault series. Great graphics and sounds and very hard to play. They were challenging games to play. Rebel Assault takes a twist in the story and brings you to a familiar yet brand new story in which you work hard to uncover the new experimental cloaking Tie fighters. With many live action sequences in the game, it was good to look at and more like an interactive movie. I loved it a lot.

Adventure

Another one of my favorite type of game, adventure games, became more and more popular. Since my very first adventure game 'Indiana Jones', Lucas Arts have been producing many classic and extremely good adventure games including Full Throttle, The Dig and the Monkey Island series. The story lines are often very intriguing and the puzzles are mind twisting. Another series that I loved is the Twinsen series. Their good graphics and background music is attractive. Furthermore, the game is not easy to play. Finishing the game is no easy task. But my favorite adventure game have to be Grim Fandango. The graphics and sounds are perfect. The story was intriguing and amusing and the new interface concept was great. You explore the underworld of crime and corruption as never before. As Manly the Ripper, you go from one end of the underworld to the other, searching for your lost love who was captured by your colleague and enemy Domino. In the course of your quest, you meet interesting people and make new friends. But you also met the biggest boss in the underworld, the ultimate crime lord, Hector with an evil plan. It was one hell of a game. One of the set backs of adventure games is that they don't come round often. So you'll definitely want to get your hands on one when it's available.

Action

I like action games a lot. One kind is first person action-strategy games like Rainbow Six series and Delta Force series. Interesting simulations of anti-terrorist team and soldiers. Really nice games to play. And playing online with other people are great experiences. Another style of action game Is third-person shooting games like Crusader. Explosive to the last turn. Nice game if you just want to blast things everywhere.

Strategy

Many of my friends love strategy games. I am no exception. I started with Red Alert. The game is quite difficult. But the movies after each mission gives me quite a lot of satisfaction. I followed the same series to Tiberian Sun, and the most current Red Alert 2. I just love them all. Another great strategy game is the Commandos series. Extremely difficult game play. Yet I love it very much because you really have to work your brains like an engine to get through each mission. The characters is a small squad of  WWII U.S. Special Forces, fighting secretly behind enemy lines. You can always get fried suddenly if you get discovered and they can easily get reinforced if they suspect you are around.
